Since 1946, James and Harris CPAs, PA, a full-service CPA firm located in Jacksonville, FL, has confidently provided a wide range of tax, accounting, audit and advisory services to small to mid-size businesses.We are seeking a hands-on, resourceful public accounting professional to lead diverse accounting engagements and cultivate client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Work jointly with clients to maintain accurate financial records
• Communicate with clients to help them understand their business results
• Provide income tax, payroll and sales tax processing as needed
• Be a QuickBooks Online resource for clients and our team
• Take the lead as we grow our construction industry niche

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 10+ years of recent public accounting experience (construction accounting experience preferred)
• CPA license or CPA candidate
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
• Tax preparation and payroll and sales tax processing experience - UltraTax proficiency a plus
• Strong communication, client service and PC skills with QuickBooks Online/QuickBooks Desktop certification and experience with QBO Advanced
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and interact professionally with clients and all levels of our team
