Senior Accountant (Richmond, VA) (Fully Remote)

Kelly Services – Skilled Professional Solutions (SPS) is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract position with one of top clients in Richmond, VA. The position is fully remote.

As a Senior Accountant placed with Kelly Services, you will serve as an integral member of our client’s Accounting Department. Primary responsibilities will include managing daily cash and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts; reconciling corporate expense accounts and booking entries; and preparing complex journal entries for prepaids and accruals.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, four plus years of GL experience, and will be deadline driven. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. Our client is a well-established, industry leader that is flexible and values work life balance. Other Responsibilities:

• Account reconciliations utilizing BlackLine.
• Financial statement analysis.
• Creating ad hoc reports as requested.
• Preparing documentation for external auditors as needed.

Schedule:

• Fully remote.
• Project until November 2025 with the possibility of extension.
• Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm EST.
• Other time zones as follows: 6:00am – 2:00pm PST; 7:00am – 3:00pm MST; 8:00am – 4:00pm CST.
• Potential OT during month end and quarter end close.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, required.
• 4 plus years of general ledger experience and strong knowledge of GAAP, required.
• Prior experience working for a large company ($1B plus in revenue), highly preferred.
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, required.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism, required.
• Large ERP system experience, required.
• SAP experience, highly preferred.
