Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Accountant/Financial Analyst at Quonset Point to join a dedicated team responsible for timekeeping, payroll and cost control. You will help ensure accurate charging of time, prompt payroll, and proper allocation of labor and material costs against company objectives.

The role involves supporting budgeting, variance analysis and reporting, collaborating with HR, Benefits, Facilities and EB Groton counterparts to keep the business running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of professional experience.
• Preferred: degree concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or similar.
• Experience with timekeeping, payroll, cost accounting and financial analysis desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform timekeeping, payroll and cost control functions.
• Support QP Facility VP & staff and EB Controller.
• Ensure time is charged correctly and costs are allocated to objectives.
• Develop controllable overhead budgets and performance reporting.
