Job summary

Taylor White in the Denver metropolitan area seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to lead month-end close, maintain GAAP-compliant reports, and own inventory/cost accounting in a close-knit team. The role offers broad exposure across the accounting function with a clear path toward a Controller seat as the company grows.

You will collaborate with the Controller and cross-train across functions while supporting ERP optimization, financial planning, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with a demonstrated track record of career advancement.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply it independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with ERP systems—willing to learn and optimize new platforms.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments is preferred.
• Ability to work in a smaller company setting with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, maintain the general ledger, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Perform balance sheet and inventory reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Oversee AP and AR functions, providing direction as needed.
• Own inventory and cost accounting, analyzing cost drivers and variances.
• Support ERP administration and optimization including workflow improvements.
• Assist with audit preparation, tax support, and integrity of books and records.
• Support FP&A including cash flow and ad hoc reporting for management.
• Assist acquisition integration as the company grows.
• Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff.
