Job summary

Thomas, Edwards Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dallas to safeguard financial records, drive timely reporting, and support month-end close across multi-entity, multi-currency environments.

You will own GL processes in Oracle or JD Edwards, manage close cycles, and deliver accurate statements and analyses for executive leadership, while upholding SOX controls and coordinating with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience; at least 1 year in a senior role.
• Must have strong, hands-on experience with Oracle or JD Edwards.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Active CPA license or plans to obtain one (preferred).
• Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the general ledger within Oracle or JD Edwards.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, variance reports, and ad-hoc analytics for leadership.
• Maintain internal controls per SOX; coordinate with auditors for annual audits.
