Job summary

Career Movement is seeking a senior accountant for a well-established construction and infrastructure company in Central Florida. The role is hands-on and individual contributor, reporting to the controller and CFO, on-site five days a week in Orlando.

The candidate will own general accounting and the monthly close, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial records. The position requires 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, strong QuickBooks, and experience with journal entries,

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 to 4 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Experience with revenue recognition and recording payroll.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to work on-site five days a week in the Orlando area.
• Construction or project-based accounting background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts each month.
• Record revenue and payroll.
• Support and help drive the monthly close.
• Keep the books GAAP-compliant.
• Partner directly with the controller and CFO.
