Job summary

SNFout seeks a Senior Accountant in New York City for a hands-on leadership role within a century-old family office. You will oversee day-to-day accounting across family entities, investments, and banking relationships, working fully in-office in New York City.

The role emphasizes multi-entity accounting, GAAP, and close processes with a path to Controller. Sage Intacct expertise is required, with a compensation package described as base plus bonus in the $200Ks, plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience across multiple entities and investment entities.
• GAAP knowledge and strong reconciliations and close expertise.
• Experience with treasury, capital calls, and distributions is a plus.
• CPA preferred or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting across LLCs, partnerships and investment entities.
• Reconcile bank, brokerage, credit card, investment and intercompany accounts.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
• Produce financial statements, budgets, cash flow reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Monitor cash and coordinate wires, ACH, capital calls, funding and distributions.
• Act as Sage Intacct expert and system owner.
• Support family bill Pay, records, and reporting with discretion.
• Coordinate audits, compliance filings and controls with outside advisors.
• Mentor accounting team and collaborate with President and senior management.

Job Title: Senior Accountant - New York

Position Overview

Senior Accountant - New York: A long-established single family office is looking for a trusted senior accounting professional to oversee day-to-day financial operations across family entities, investments and banking relationships. Fully in office in New York City (not hybrid).

Your Day-to-Day

• Run multi-entity accounting across LLCs, partnerships and investment entities: general ledger, journal entries, accruals, AP and intercompany
• Reconcile bank, brokerage, credit card, investment and intercompany accounts
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close
• Produce financial statements, budgets, cash flow reports and ad hoc analysis
• Monitor cash, coordinate wires, ACH, capital calls, funding and distributions
• Act as the go-to Sage Intacct expert
• Support family bill pay, records and reporting with complete discretion
• Coordinate audits, compliance filings and controls with outside advisors
• Mentor the accounting team and take on special projects with the President and senior management
