Job summary

AIR Control Concepts in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the GAAP accounting team, reporting to the Controller. This hands-on role supports month-end close, consolidations, and multi-entity financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, with ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably multi-entity or high-growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA eligibility a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and intermediate to advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Support consolidation and regional reporting packages.
• Assist with audit preparation and internal controls documentation.
• Participate in ERP rollouts and process improvement initiatives.
