Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our GAAP accounting team in Norfolk, VA. This role supports multi-entity consolidations, month-end close, and internal controls, reporting to the Controller. It involves hands-on accounting, intercompany activity, and regional reporting across multiple entities.

The Senior Accountant will ensure accuracy of the general ledger, assist in audits, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment within the HVAC industry.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA eligible a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities and resolve variances.
• Support month-end close and prepare analyses on key accounts.
• Assist consolidation and regional reporting packages.
• Support audit preparation and internal controls improvements.
