Job summary

UpRecruit is partnering with a leading real estate development and hospitality company to hire a Senior Accountant for its Scottsdale, AZ corporate headquarters. You will play a crucial role in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and supporting a complex multi-entity business.

You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, prepare reconciliations, and assist with external audits while collaborating with leadership to enhance processes and reporting across entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Exposure to consolidated reporting and multi-entity accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support consolidated financial statements and monthly management reporting.
• Manage AP/AR activities and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
• Handle intercompany accounting across multiple entities.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with US GAAP.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting.
• Support special projects as the business grows.
