Job summary

Asset Talent Partners is seeking an Assistant Controller for a well-established Scottsdale real estate platform. You will own consolidations across a multi-entity structure, manage partnership and JV accounting, and lead a small accounting team reporting to the Director of Accounting.

The role demands deep GAAP knowledge, 7+ years in real estate accounting, and a proven ability to implement scalable close processes. CPA is preferred and Yardi experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years in accounting with real estate development, investment, or fund accounting.
• Strong consolidation experience across many entities.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel; Yardi is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consolidated financial statements across a large multi-tier entity structure.
• Partnership and JV accounting across multiple ownership tiers.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials for assigned entities.
• Coordinate with outside tax and audit partners on quarterly workbooks.
• Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team including two managers.
• Build scalable processes, controls, and close discipline.
• Liqudity covenant reporting and support for project financing.
• Treasury oversight including banking and cash flow reporting.
• Corporate budgets in Yardi with variance reporting and billbacks.
