Job summary

Specialty1 Partners in Houston, TX is seeking an Accountant Level III to join our multi-entity dental organization. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant financial close, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and consolidations across entities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) and 5–8 years of healthcare/dental accounting experience, with strong Excel and ERP skills. Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA track preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-entity settings.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-functional communication with finance, operations, and clinical teams.
• Maintain accurate financial records across entities and departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Own designated balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data and report trends to management.
• Prepare intercompany transactions and consolidations across entities.
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and schedules.
• Maintain fixed asset records and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Support audits with schedules and auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll, FP&A, and operations.
• Identify automation opportunities in reconciliations and reporting.
• Review work of junior accountants and provide guidance.
