Specialty1 Partners is seeking an Accountant Level III to join our Houston-based team. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant accounting, multi-entity close processes, and accurate financial statements across entities. You will manage reconciliations, intercompany activity, and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA track preferred
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-entity organizations
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for multiple entities
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Own designated balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on trends and anomalies
• Prepare intercompany transactions, allocations, eliminations, and reconciliations across entities
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports
• Maintain fixed asset records and lease accounting under ASC 842
• Maintain internal controls and support audits
• Collaborate with finance and operations to ensure data accuracy
• Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations and reporting
