Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the Houston area seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple business entities. You will own the close process, prepare financial reporting, and develop reporting packages for business partners and lenders in a multi-entity environment.

The role requires strong general ledger, reconciliation, and Excel proficiency, with emphasis on accuracy, deadlines, and collaboration with management and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience managing and closing multiple entities is preferred.
• Strong general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliation experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Timberline or similar accounting system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and close the general ledger for assigned entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Develop reporting packages for business partners and lenders.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash distribution schedules.
• Complete intercompany reconciliations and settlements.
• Review operating invoices and support monthly and quarterly close activities.
• Communicate financial results to management and key stakeholders.
• Assist with internal controls, SOX requirements, and external audits.
• Support personal property tax filings and other accounting initiatives.
• Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage across the accounting team.
