Job summary

Warrior Met Coal, Inc. is seeking a senior accountant at our central mining office near Brookwood, Alabama. The role supports operational management with accurate financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and cost analysis across mining operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with mine management, sales, purchasing, and corporate finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Mining, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end close, journal entries, allocations, variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record mine costs and prepare mine cost schedules and inventories.
• Manage trade receivables and revenue transactions with customers.
• Support cash forecast updates with treasury, and liaise between sales and finance teams.
• Assist with annual financial statement audit and SOX documentation.
