Job summary

7-Eleven is seeking a Senior Accountant in Irving, TX to ensure accurate financial reporting through close processes, reconciliations, and detailed gross profit analysis. The role supports system enhancements and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 4-6 years of experience, CPA-eligibility is a plus, and strong Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification or CPA eligible is a plus.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills: PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for timely financial reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Perform detailed gross profit analysis by merchandize category, vendor, and location.
• Analyze sales, inventory, cost of sales, markdowns, shrink, and gross margin drivers.
• Prepare monthly management financial reports and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal control adherence.
• Participate in system enhancements and process improvements.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as needed.
