Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for a confidential client in the Denton area. This role focuses on financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and inventory accounting in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting and operational decision-making, with growth opportunities and potential internal promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• CPA certification, public accounting experience, or cost accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication across departments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting processes and partner with operational leaders to meet financial goals.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and analyze financial performance.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support SOX compliance by maintaining and testing internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis to management on a regular basis.
• Monitor inventory valuation and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Engage in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
• This position does not require travel.
