Job summary

Etz Hayim Holdings is seeking a Senior Accountant in Portland, OR to ensure accurate financial reporting and balance sheet integrity across multiple entities. The role emphasizes reconciliations, intercompany activity, fixed assets, and adherence to ASC 842 and GAAP.

You will collaborate with accounting, operations, and budget managers to support month-end closes and improve SOPs, with a focus on timely, accurate reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing or physical goods businesses.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Strong communication, organizational and data skills.
• Ability to work independently and protect confidential information.
• Experience with Excel and Google Sheets at an advanced level.
• Familiarity with SQL data flows and database usage.

Responsibilities

• Balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Develop intercompany billings and settlements for consolidated statements.
• Maintain prepaid schedules and accrued liabilities, including amortization.
• Manage lease and loan schedules under ASC 842.
• Reconcile revenue recognition, COGS allocations, and inventory valuations.
• Improve reconciliations processes and drive timely issue resolution.
• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, tagging standards, and life-cycle records.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies; support audits.
• Contribute to month-end close and cross-functional collaboration.
