Northern Manufacturing Co. in Oak Harbor, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting cycle, including AP, AR, payroll, GL, and month-end close.

This hands-on role reports to leadership and collaborates across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position offers diverse responsibilities, from tax filings to year-end close, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to influence operations in a 75+ year, family-owned manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent accounting experience.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with general ledger and month-end close.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll; ERP systems a plus.
• Manufacturing or job-shop costing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including invoicing, payments, progress billing, deposits.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and related payroll accounting.
• Perform month-end close activities with journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for leadership and banking requirements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain revenue-related schedules.
• Prepare routine state and local tax filings and deadlines.
• Support year-end close and coordinate with external accounting firm on corporate tax matters and fixed assets.
• Complete required financial and compliance reporting with leadership and other departments.
