Job summary

The Senior Accountant role at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is based in Claremont, NC and focuses on month end close, inventory accounting, and accounts payable oversight within the manufacturing division.

You will partner with Operations, Purchasing, Shared Services, and Receiving to ensure accurate, timely financial results and meaningful commentary. This role offers growth opportunities in a dynamic Supply Chain environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience with month end close, journal entries, variance analysis, and operational reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable processes, invoice workflows, vendor issue resolution, and cross-functional oversight.
• Proficient in MS Excel, including pivot tables and SUMIFS/lookups.
• Experience with Oracle or Microsoft D365 or similar ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own key month end close responsibilities, including journal entries and variance explanations.
• Oversee no PO invoicing process and invoice coding accuracy.
• Produce weekly operational and financial reports for plant leadership and management.
• Support inventory accounting and adjustments; review related journals.
• Participate in process improvements and special finance projects.
