Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the division's South Carolina and Michigan business units. You will manage month-end close, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and tax compliance while collaborating with site leadership and the broader finance team.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain BOMs, standard costs, and manufacturing data, ensuring accurate financial reporting and prudent internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Experience with manufacturing inventory, BOMs, cycle counts, and variances.
• Experience with sales and use tax compliance and related reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and variances.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable processing and RMAs.
• Prepare and coordinate CER and LER requests.
• Own month-end closing activities across the division.
