Job summary

Premier Pump & Power, a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations in Vancouver, WA. You will manage the close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls, reporting to the Controller.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, full-cycle accounting experience in manufacturing, and collaboration with operations and leadership to align financials with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite and QuickBooks strongly preferred).
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; ability to organize and interpret large data sets.
• Exposure to inventory accounting, standard costing, and project-based accounting.
• Familiarity with tax reporting, payroll accounting, and audit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, banking, and expense management.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, tax distributions, and recurring entries.
• Reconcile key accounts and maintain capital assets, leases, depreciation schedules.
• Collaborate with AR & AP to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors for reporting and audits.
• Support ERP implementation and system integrations; provide cross-functional backup.
