Job summary

Eggs Unlimited, a family-owned company headquartered in Irvine, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will support external audits, monthly close, cost analysis, and financial reporting, with a focus on manufacturing accounting and GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with QuickBooks Online and D365 or similar ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including monthly close and audits.
• Experience with audits, including preparation of schedules.
• Strong manufacturing accounting knowledge including inventory valuation.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaborative work style.
• On-site in Irvine, CA, Monday–Friday.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with D365 or similar ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage external audit activities, coordinating with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and collaborate with operations to ensure accurate product costing.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with GAAP, with timely and accurate variance analyses provided to management.
• Identify and implement financial procedures and best practices to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance across all accounting processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to support business initiatives and improvements.
• Participate in special projects, ERP system enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting improvements.
• Provide support to corporate and subsidiary accounting teams on a variety of financial activities.
