Job summary

Diptyque Paris seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for the U.S. and Canada entities, reporting to the Controller and supervising one Junior Accountant.

You will manage reconciliations, month-end close, tax compliance, and financial analysis across retail, eCommerce, and corporate channels, with a focus on accuracy, controls, and process improvements. Luxury goods background is a plus, strong Excel and NAV experience preferred, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.A. in Accounting or related Finance Degree.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; luxury goods experience is a plus.
• Experience mentoring or training junior team members is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel; NAV experience is a plus.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, organized with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts with timely resolution.
• Analyze large volumes of transactional data across retail, eCommerce, and corporate channels.
• Review and reconcile corporate credit card and Concur expense reporting.
• Support accounting operations for new store openings and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate bank reconciliations with the Junior Accountant.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls.
• Support business tax, sales tax, and other indirect tax compliance.
• Assist with month-end closing, journal entries, and schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate reporting.
• Assist with audits, projects, and ERP optimization.
