Job summary

Diptyque Paris is seeking a Senior Accountant in New York to support day-to-day accounting for U.S. and Canada entities. You will handle reconciliations, month-end close, tax compliance, and financial analysis, reporting to the Controller and managing one junior accountant.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. Luxury goods experience is a plus in this highly regarded luxury fragrance house.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.A. in Accounting or related finance degree.
• At least 5+ years of accounting experience; luxury goods experience a plus.
• Experience mentoring or training junior team members is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
• Technology savvy with experience in various ERP software.
• Proficient in Excel, NAV is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts; assist with month-end close.
• Manage reconciliations for accounts, banks, and credit card activity; review expenses.
• Support tax compliance activities and assist with audits and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and ERP optimization projects.
