Job summary

Diptyque is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across US and Canada, focusing on reconciliations, bank activity and the accuracy of financial reporting for multiple channels.

Work with cross-functional teams in Accounting, Finance and IT to resolve discrepancies before month-end close, document processes, and assist with ERP enhancements and ad hoc projects related to data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field.
• 2+ years accounting experience in retail/eCommerce environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting transaction flows between POS systems, eCommerce platforms, payment processors and ERP systems.
• Experience performing detailed, high-volume account reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate root causes and independently resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to identify data transmission issues, assess financial impact, and effectively partner with IT teams to drive timely resolution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate follow-up with AP/AR related to bank activities.
• Manage cash and bank reconciliations for U.S. and Canada.
• Perform detailed reconciliations across banking, retail, and ecommerce channels.
• Investigate discrepancies in data flows between Shopify, POS systems, payment processors, and ERP.
