Job summary

Delicato Family Wines seeks a Senior Accountant to lead general ledger activities, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and deliver insightful financial analyses for informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant general ledger, financial reporting, analyses or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data in an ERP system.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial close processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages the preparation, analysis, and review of journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.
• Prepares, analyzes, and reviews assigned financial statement schedules, identifying trends and variances during close cycles.
• Performs internal control activities and recommends improvements to address gaps or inefficiencies.
• Identifies financial reporting risks and communicates recommendations for resolution.
• Translates financial data into actionable insights for business leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities with schedules and analyses.
• Supports internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
• Leads process improvement, changes to accounting operations, and automation initiatives.
