Job summary

Delicato Family Wines seeks a Senior Cost Accountant in Manteca, CA to partner with Operations in budgeting and determining production overhead costs for bottling and bulk wine. You will manage standard costs, monthly variances, and annual planning, while supporting closing, audits, and process improvements with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong cost accounting, ERP experience (SAP), and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to influence operational decisions and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business discipline, preferably Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance managing planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Must have exposure to standard product costing using an ERP system, preferably SAP.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with operational and financial teams.
• Extensive use of Excel, ERP systems, and data manipulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop standard costs on an annual basis for inventory items with variance analyses.
• Present monthly performance analyses to Production Operations teams with variances.
• Oversee annual planning for production operations and develop latest estimates.
• Own cost center spend and overhead cost allocation processes.
• Prepare structured cost analyses using centralized data and documented methods.
• Support monthly financial close with operations and Finance teams.
• Coach and mentor FP&A team members and manage performance.
• Support audits with samples and coordination with auditors.
• Drive process improvements in production efficiency and indirect spend.
• Maintain internal controls related to bottling and wine cost.
