Job summary

Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage core general ledger activities, month-end close, and asset accounting. You will partner with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, manufacturing/wine industry familiarity, and proficiency with NetSuite, Stampli, and Vintrace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
• 5+ years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Manufacturing, wine or spirits industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred); Stampli or Vintrace a plus.
• Hands-on AI/automation usage to improve accounting workflows valued.

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close alongside the Controller by owning assigned close tasks and completing them accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reclassifications.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and maintain supporting documentation.
• Lead efforts to standardize and automate reconciliation workpapers.
• Own Fixed Asset List and subledger, track CAPEX, depreciation, and assets in service.
• Provide AP/AR support and resolve vendor/customer discrepancies as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation with ERP and AI tools.
• Prepare account analyses, flux explanations, and audit schedules.
