Job summary

Delicato Family Vineyards in Manteca, CA, seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to partner with Operations to develop departmental budgets and determine production overhead costs for bottling and bulk wine.

The role requires ERP-based data management, product costing, BOM maintenance, labor and overhead allocation, and monthly variance analysis, providing strategic financial insights to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with standard product costing using an ERP system, preferably SAP.
• Proven ability to communicate with operating and financial teams.
• Extensive use of Excel and ERP/data manipulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops standard costs annually for inventory items and provides variance analyses.
• Presents monthly performance analyses to Production Operations teams.
• Oversees annual planning for production operations including budgeting and forecasting.
• Owns cost center spend, bottling overhead, and bulk wine overhead processes.
• Prepares structured cost analyses using centralized data and documented methodologies.
• Supports financial closing and accruals with operations and finance teams.
• Mentors and supports FP&A team and drives process improvements.
