Job summary

SEMO Tank, a Dairy Farmers of America subsidiary, is seeking an experienced accountant to manage monthly financial reporting, general ledger activity, and lease GAAP compliance. This role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and attention to detail in a manufacturing/industrial setting.

You will participate in budgeting, asset tracking, and collaboration with management to maintain company metrics and ensure proper recording of capital expenditures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience required
• 7+ years preferred but not required for consideration
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience required
• GAAP knowledge and lease accounting understanding desired

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly financial analysis and reporting
• Prepare lease contracts for customers with accuracy
• Assist in fixed asset procurement and asset tracking
• Maintain fixed assets documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with inventory personnel for cycle counts and adjustments
• Assist in annual budget and variance analysis
• Support expense allocation at location and department levels
• Develop and report company metrics for management review
• Demonstrate integrity and professional conduct in all tasks
