Job summary

Command Alkon Incorporated seeks a Senior Accountant to join the global accounting team and partner with the Accounting Manager to build a world-class organization. You will review work from the COE, own multiple balance sheet reconciliations, and manage SG&A and COGS accruals while supporting close processes.

You will drive process improvements and enhance the usefulness of financial reporting for other departments, requiring detail orientation and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience reviewing work of others and providing feedback in a COE or shared services environment.
• Track record of process improvement and best practices in financial operations.
• Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite a plus.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by COE for GAAP compliance and proper support.
• Provide feedback to COE and resolve root causes of errors.
• Own and prepare multiple balance sheet reconciliations monthly and ensure audit-ready support.
• Own SG&A and COGS accrual processes including documentation of methodology.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and deadlines.
• Investigate variances, perform fluctuation analysis, and take corrective actions.
• Lead process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.
• Improve reporting for other departments and respond to ad hoc requests.
• Assist in audit schedules and support internal/external audits.
