Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant in Raleigh, NC to own key accounting functions and partner with leadership on process improvements. You will manage month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and support audits in a collaborative finance team.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, a degree in accounting or finance, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP and accounting software systems.
• CPA designation or candidacy preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and cross-department collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules for internal/external reporting.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support ad hoc projects.
