Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis tools.
• Experience working with ERP and accounting software systems.
• CPA designation or CPA candidacy preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyzing general ledger activity and investigating account variances.
• Preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting purposes.
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assisting with annual audits and coordinating requests from external auditors.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Mentoring and supporting junior accounting staff as needed.
• Assisting with special projects, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.
