Job summary

Helpmates Staffing Services in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This on-site role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a start date ASAP.

You will support month-end close, perform cash reconciliations, and manage journal entries while strengthening internal controls and ensuring GAAP/SOX compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Excel and (preferably) Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification and prior public accounting experience preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliations and provide cash flow insights.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy.
• Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury, and related processes.
• Prepare financial analyses including variance, revenue, costs, and margins.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with audits and SOX compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Legal to support business goals.
