Job summary

Plaid Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for IPO readiness & SOX Growth within Accounting Operations.

The role centers on accruals, investments, leases, intercompany activity, and cost allocations, with journal entries, reconciliations, and close management until year-end. You will partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Marketing and external auditors, building scalable processes and controls to support Plaid's growth and public readiness.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting, with deep US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience at a public company or with IPO readiness.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit-ready workpapers.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Zip, T&E and close management platforms is a plus.
• Problem solver with a bias for action and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for accruals, investments, leases, intercompany activity and cost allocations.
• Prepare and maintain intercompany and consolidation entries across Plaid's entities.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Marketing and vendors to ensure spend is accrued and balances are well understood.
• Identify and implement process, automation, and control improvements to shorten the close and support SOX 404 readiness.
• Serve as the primary contact during the annual audit and respond to auditor requests.
