Job summary

Plaid Inc. is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for accruals, investments, leases, intercompany activity, and cost allocations.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze balances to ensure accuracy and timely closes. Collaborating across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Marketing and external auditors, you will drive process improvements, document controls, and support automation to scale Plaid's operations and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. Big 4 exposure
• Public company or IPO readiness experience preferred
• Familiarity with SOX and audit-ready workpapers
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for accruals, investments, leases, intercompany activity and cost allocations.
• Prepare intercompany and consolidation entries across Plaid's entities, including FX revaluation and elimination.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Marketing and auditors to ensure accurate spend and balance understanding.
• Identify and implement process improvements to shorten the close and support SOX 404 readiness.
• Serve as primary audit contact and respond to auditor requests.
