Job summary

HydroJug is a Utah-based hydration and lifestyle brand seeking a Senior Accountant to own major parts of the monthly close, inventory and channel revenue across Shopify, Amazon, and national retail.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will ensure the general ledger is accurate, reconciled, and on time, and you will explain variances clearly. This role emphasizes process improvements and a strong hands-on approach with NetSuite and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Hands-on ERP experience; NetSuite preferred, other ERP systems acceptable.
• Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and analytics.
• Clear communication and ability to explain variances.

Responsibilities

• Own close workstreams: journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Explain variances in plain language to the Accounting Manager and planning team.
• Tighten close calendar and checklist to improve speed without sacrificing accuracy.
• Account for inventory including landed costs, freight, duties, and tariffs.
• Reconcile NetSuite to warehouse and 3PL counts; resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile revenue across Shopify, Amazon, and other marketplaces, including deductions and settlements.
• Support audits, tax filings, and compliance with outside advisors.
• Document processes and improve NetSuite and tooling support for the close.
