Job summary

Ascendo Resources partners with a rapidly growing national distribution company to hire a Senior Accountant.

In a hybrid role (3 days onsite, flexible), you will support month‑end close, reconciliations, and analyses, with a strong emphasis on inventory and gross margin accounts.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 3+ years of experience, solid GAAP knowledge, Advanced Excel, and exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, or Tableau; ASC/400 and Sage a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Finance or CS with accounting coursework considered.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; public or corporate experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and large dataset handling.

Responsibilities

• Review general ledger activity and prepare month-end journal entries and analyses.
• Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and variances.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and perform variance analysis.
