CFS in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Senior Accountant to own a broad range of accounting responsibilities within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. You’ll manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while exploring how AI can improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings a strong GAAP background, hands-on GL experience, Excel proficiency, and comfort in a multi-entity setting common in nonprofits/investment contexts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with general ledger and month-end close.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
• Strong ability to analyze information and resolve discrepancies.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end close and year-end processes.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Analyze transactions, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist AP/AR, cash management, and other routine duties.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Identify process improvements and leverage technology.
• Partner with teams to address accounting questions and issues.
• Participate in projects exploring AI in finance.
• Drive efficiency and transparency in workflows.
