Job summary

Darden Restaurants is seeking an Accountant III for a remote role with occasional in-office work. You will prepare and review account reconciliations, ensure SOX compliance, and assemble monthly reporting with variance analysis for internal and external use.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5+ years of related experience and demonstrates strong Excel, communication, and leadership skills to support FP&A, budgeting, and monthly close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of related accounting experience.
• Knowledge of FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Above-average Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyze account reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX compliance.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages with variance analysis for internal and external reporting.
• Assist in budgeting and coordination with FP&A.
• Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts and close monthly books.
• Interact with internal and external auditors and stakeholders.
