Job summary

Darden Restaurants is seeking an accounting professional to perform routine to moderately complex accounting support work in accordance with accepted standard accounting principles, department guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.

You will prepare journal entries, monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany and tax-related adjustments, run reports in Excel and Word, and apply internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or at least 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle, Discoverer and HFM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deposit manual checks and monitor the automated check deposit system.
• Prepare journal entries (manual and recurring).
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Prepare semiannual Flex Compensation investment testing with treasury coordination.
• Generate reports in Shareworks and ensure accuracy of stock-based compensation data.
