Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. (TDS) is seeking a Senior Accountant II to manage complex general ledger activities, month-end close and financial reporting for the enterprise.

Under minimal supervision, you will lead GAAP applications for revenue, fixed assets, treasury and general accounting, ensuring accurate entries, reconciliations and internal controls, including SOX compliance. A remote-friendly role across the U.S., with opportunity to collaborate across finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of public accounting or 5+ years corporate accounting with GAAP.
• CPA preferred or eligibility to sit for CPA within six months.

Responsabilités

• Monitor, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Lead month-end closing activities including reconciliations, journal entries and reporting.
• Apply GAAP to revenue, fixed asset, treasury and general accounting functions.
• Prepare monthly income and balance sheet statements for internal/external reporting.
• Provide support for income tax and transaction tax; respond to financial inquiries.
• Lead operational and technical accounting activities; assist with audits.
• Develop and maintain team procedures; mentor staff as needed.
