Job summary

LHH is partnered with a stable, yet growing healthcare company to identify a Senior Accountant. This role offers hybrid flexibility with two in-office days outside of month-end and clear upward mobility to Accounting Manager.

The Senior Accountant will handle a broad scope of responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement support, GAAP compliance, and collaboration with operations to provide financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting is required.
• Healthcare experience is required, either from traditional accounting or external audit.
• CPA or plans to sit for CPA exam is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Perform financial reporting and variance analysis to identify trends and significant fluctuations.
• Support cash flow reporting, forecasting, and analysis for leadership decisions.
• Review general ledger activity for GAAP compliance and accounting policies.
• Partner with operations to review financial results and provide insights.
• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and other corporate finance initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, strengthen controls, and improve efficiencies.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and other corporate finance initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, strengthen controls, and improve efficiencies across the accounting function.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
