Job summary

Global Citizen is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the consolidation, general ledger integrity, and financial reporting across domestic and international entities. This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity consolidation under U.S.

GAAP. You will oversee month-end close, manage audits, and ensure accurate accounting for grants, donations, and foreign currency activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with general ledger, close, and financial statements.
• Strong nonprofit accounting experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Experience owning accounting for multi-entity organizations, including consolidation statements.
• Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidation entries, eliminations, and reconciliations.
• Experience with international entities and foreign currency accounting/translation.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience leading external financial statement audits and IRS Form 990 preparation support.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation for domestic and international entities.
• Drive month-end and year-end close from transaction-level accounting to final financial statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and consolidation entries.
• Ensure multi-currency accounting and foreign currency translation.
• Lead external financial statement audits and support IRS Form 990 preparation.
• Oversee AP and Payroll oversight and ensure integration with general ledger and reporting.
