Job summary

Double Good is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in a hybrid capacity based in downtown Chicago or Elmhurst. The role supports month-end close, audits, tax coordination, treasury activities, and fixed asset management to provide accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting and 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with GAAP knowledge and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Experience supporting month end close, audits, tax compliance, treasury activities, and fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation techniques.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross functional collaboration.
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support financial month end activities.
• Support multiple audits (financial, insurance, 401k, tax, etc.).
• Work in conjunction with our outside tax partners on Corporate and Sales Tax.
• Support treasury management.
• Partner with Operations on Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditures to ensure proper project management.
• Work cross functionally on financial/operational activities and related project management.
