Job summary

Mimecast, based in Lexington, MA, seeks a Senior Accountant to own the monthly and quarterly close and reporting for North America. This hybrid role collaborates across Treasury, Tax, HR, and Sales Ops, supporting external audits and strengthening internal controls.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in tech accounting, US GAAP proficiency, and advanced Excel. You will interact with FP&A and other teams to allocate expenses accurately, leverage AI tools, and contribute to process improvements while

Qualifications

• BS in accounting is required; CPA is desirable.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in technology or software industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency with ERP and financial close tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly close processes and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, HR, and Sales Ops.
• Support external audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Drive process improvements and mentor junior staff.
