Job summary

Mimecast Limited in Lexington, MA is seeking a Senior Accountant to own monthly close and related reporting for North America. The role partners with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, HR, Payroll and Sales Ops, and requires strong US GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency.

The role offers a hybrid schedule in our Lexington office, with opportunities to contribute to internal controls, external reporting, and process improvements across a fast-paced technology business.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and GAAP-based close processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred; FloQast, Navan, Xactly are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close and reporting processes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; support variance analyses.
• Assist external auditors with schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, HR, Payroll and Sales Ops.
• Support process improvements and standardization across teams.
