Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in the Northbrook, IL area. The role offers a unique blend of month-end close responsibilities, intercompany accounting, audit support, and exposure to FP&A, tax, treasury, and financial reporting in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

You will support the monthly close, balance sheet analyses, and financial reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams on special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Ability to thrive in a changing, evolving environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process and prepare journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, reconciliations, settlements, and related reporting
• Maintain lease accounting schedules and related accounting records
• Assist with financial reporting schedules and audit support
• Review contracts and support accounting treatment assessments
• Support payroll-related accounting activities and employee expense programs
• Assist with treasury-related accounting and cash activity processing
• Support indirect tax compliance and related reconciliations
• Partner with business units and shared service teams to resolve accounting issues
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and internal controls enhancements
• Participate in special projects across the finance organization
