Canon U.S.A., Inc. in Melville, NY seeks a Senior Accountant to manage general ledger reconciliations, analysis, forecasting, reserve valuations, and audit support under US GAAP. The role includes month-end closings, process improvements, and collaboration across teams.

The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule (office Mon–Wed, remote option other days) and a competitive compensation package. Salary range is $76,150–$114,040 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, plus 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and research of authoritative pronouncements.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• CPA license preferred; audit experience with large firm preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Conduct balance sheet trend analysis and prepare financial reports.
• Monitor accounts for financial exposure and raise concerns to management.
• Research variances and resolve exceptions.
• Execute month-end close processes.
• Assist with transmission and reporting of financials.
• Test general ledger backup to ensure data integrity.
• Support physical inventory and fixed asset audits.
• Provide documentation and support for internal audits and use tax audits.
• Assist team members and managers with special projects.
• Ensure all accounting processes and documentation comply with US GAAP and internal corporate policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in developing and implementing new accounting procedures.
